Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
The general age limit is 18 to 25 years. Age relaxation will be granted as per government policy including relaxation for Ex-Servicemen, minorities, and destitute/orphan candidates.
Educational Qualification
Pointsman candidates must have passed Matric with 2nd Division from a recognized board. Gateman candidates must have a Middle pass certificate.
Domicile
Candidates must hold a valid Pakistani domicile certificate.
Quota System
Applications will be considered under the following quota categories as per government rules:
- Open Merit
- Railway Quota (Sons of Railway Employees only)
- Ex-Serviceman Quota (Retired from Army or Police, under 45 years of age)
- Orphan / Destitute Quota
- Minorities (Non-Muslim) Quota
Salary Information
Pointsman will be paid as per BS-05 pay scale and Gateman as per BS-02 pay scale under Federal Government pay structure. Both are regular government positions with all admissible allowances and benefits as per Pakistan Railways service rules.
