The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) is conducting its General Recruitment Phase-III 2026 tests from 12 to 19 October 2026. In a public notice issued on 29 September 2026 (No. F.1/4/2026-T&S-Coord), the Commission announced the timetable for the written tests in 13 cities across Pakistan. A later notice on 7–8 October confirmed that all examinations would go ahead on schedule — with one important exception: the tests planned in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were postponed on 11 October. If you are a candidate, here is everything you need to know.
Test Schedule at a Glance
The General Recruitment Phase-III 2026 tests are being held from 12 to 19 October 2026 in these 13 cities: Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Gujranwala, Karachi, Sukkur, Hyderabad, Peshawar, Dera Ismail Khan, Quetta, Gilgit and Skardu. Your exact paper date, time and centre are printed on your own admission certificate — the 12–19 October window is the overall range, not every candidate’s test date.
Two related items from the same examination season are worth noting. The CSS 2027 MPT (MCQs-based Preliminary Test) was held on 10 October 2026, and the five cases of the Board of Investment and the Prime Minister’s Office (17 posts) that were part of this recruitment phase have been postponed until further notice. If your case number is among those five, keep watching the FPSC website instead of reporting to a centre this week.
KP Tests Postponed — Peshawar and D.I. Khan
In a public notice issued on 11 October 2026, the FPSC postponed the General Recruitment Phase-III tests scheduled at the Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan centres. The Commission said the decision was taken because of the prevailing situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and on requests received from candidates and local supervisory staff.
This postponement applies only to the Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan centres. Tests in all other cities are proceeding on the original schedule. The FPSC has said it will announce new dates for the postponed KP tests later. If your centre was Peshawar or D.I. Khan, do not travel to the centre — check the official FPSC website regularly for the revised schedule.
How to Download Your Admission Certificate
FPSC does not send admission certificates by post. Follow these steps:
1. Visit the official FPSC website at www.fpsc.gov.pk and open the Schedule section, then Admission Certificates.
2. Select the GR Phase-III link. It opens a form on the FPSC certificate portal (cp.fpsc.gov.pk).
3. Enter your CNIC number and submit the form.
4. Download and print your admission certificate.
FPSC also sends an SMS or email to tell you the certificate is available, but the message itself is not your entry pass — only the printed certificate works at the gate. Keep your CNIC valid and your registered mobile number active, because all FPSC calls and messages go to the number you gave in your application. If your certificate does not appear, contact FPSC on 051-9212427 or UAN 051-111-000-248 during office hours, or email fpsc@fpsc.gov.pk.
Exam-Day Rules You Must Follow
The FPSC is strict about examination-hall discipline. These rules come directly from the Commission’s notices and general instructions:
Plan your travel a day early if your centre is in another city. October traffic, security checks and unfamiliar routes cause more missed papers than difficult questions do.
What Happens After the Test
Once the Phase-III tests are complete, the FPSC moves to the next stages of the recruitment process. Candidates who qualify the written test are shortlisted, and then their documents are verified in detail — this is when your CNIC, domicile, educational certificates and other records are checked closely. Shortlisted candidates are then called for interviews, and the final selection is made on merit. Keep your original documents ready now rather than searching for them after the result.
Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where do I download my roll number slip?
