The 81 Ordnance Unit Multan Cantt has officially announced its latest recruitment drive for the year 2026. Applications are invited from eligible and hardworking Pakistani nationals to fill various administrative, technical, and support staff vacancies.

This is a prestigious opportunity for civilians and retired armed forces personnel to serve within the logistics and supply chain wing of the Pakistan Army. While some technical and clerical positions are distributed on open merit and provincial quotas, lower-scale support roles are dedicated specifically to local candidates from Multan, Khanewal, Okara, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Layyah, and Muzaffargarh.

A mandatory 3-week basic IT course (including MS Office) from NITB must be completed during the probation period. Matric. Minimum typing speed of 30 w.p.m. Age: 18-30.
2 Assistant Store Keeper 09 Merit – 1 01 The Assistant Store Keeper provides vital support in managing the unit’s inventory. Responsibilities include receiving supplies, organizing storage areas, and issuing required materials to various departments. Strong organizational skills and basic computer proficiency are necessary for maintaining accurate stock ledgers. Matric. 6 months computer application diploma. 1-year store management/storekeeping experience. Age: 18-30.
3 Highly Skilled (Vehicle Mechanic) 07 Merit – 1 01 The Vehicle Mechanic ensures the operational readiness of the unit’s transport fleet. This role involves diagnosing mechanical faults, executing routine maintenance, and performing complex repairs on light and heavy military vehicles to maintain mobility and safety. Matric. One-year vehicle mechanic diploma from a recognized institution. Age: 18-30.
4 Highly Skilled (Auto Electrician) 07 Merit – 1 01 The Auto Electrician is tasked with maintaining and repairing the electrical systems of the unit’s vehicles. Duties include troubleshooting wiring issues, fixing alternators, and ensuring all automotive electrical components function flawlessly during critical transport operations. Matric. One-year auto electrician diploma from a recognized institution. Age: 18-30.

10 The Storeman manages the secure receipt, storage, and issuance of military ordnance supplies. This role requires maintaining strict inventory accountability using digital databases. Both experienced civilians and retired JCOs/NCOs with relevant supply chain backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply. Matric with 6 months IT diploma & 6 months storekeeping experience. OR JCOs/NCOs with relevant experience & 6 months IT diploma. Age: 18-30.
6 Driver Civil 04 Local 03 The Civil Driver safely operates the unit’s transport vehicles, moving personnel and light stores. Responsibilities include maintaining vehicle logbooks, performing daily maintenance checks, and adhering strictly to all military and civil traffic regulations. Primary pass. Valid LTV Driving License holder. Preference for experienced drivers. Age: 18-30.
7 Painter 03 Local 01 The Painter handles the aesthetic and protective maintenance of the unit’s physical assets. This involves surface preparation and the expert application of paints and anti-corrosive coatings on buildings, furniture, and selected military equipment. Primary pass. 6 months of experience in the relevant field. Age: 18-30.
8 Carpenter 03 Local 01 The Carpenter provides essential woodworking services, including the construction, repair, and installation of office furniture, wooden fixtures, and customized storage crates required for securing ordnance materials. Primary pass. 6 months of experience in the relevant field. Age: 18-30.
9 Waiter 01 Local 01 The Waiter provides hospitable food and beverage service in the unit’s official mess or dining areas. Duties include setting up tables, serving meals to officers and staff, and maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the dining facility. Primary pass. Age: 18-30.

Important Age Relaxations & Rules

  • General Age Limit: 18 to 30 years.

  • Ex-FATA, Balochistan, Sindh Rural, GB, and AJK: Upper age limit is 33 Years.

  • Ex-Servicemen: Upper age limit is 45 Years.

  • Local Quota: Candidates belonging to Multan, Khanewal, Okara, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Layyah, and Muzaffargarh are eligible to apply for local quota posts.
